Even though we won’t be shooting Cheryl and Darren’s wedding until June, it feels like we’ve known them forever! That probably has to do with the fact that Cheryl was in Kathy and Dave’s wedding party, whose wedding we shot in 2007, and they are also friends with Stephanie and Mike, whose wedding we shot in 2008. And there are probably a whole bunch of other connections I’m missing – honestly so many of our clients know each other that it gets pretty confusing – think 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon times 10! But it’s actually really, really cool to see familiar faces at different weddings; we love reconnecting with guests, family, and friends from weddings past, and of course we are more than flattered to be referred so many times over.
Now on to Cheryl and Darren – I had a great shoot with them, wandering around Granville Island, finding some new and exciting places to photograph in. Even though these two have very serious professions (doctor and engineer), they know how to have fun – and were even willing to show me their best “Blue Steel” (not shown to protect innocent).
We’re looking forward to their big day in June, and seeing lots of our past clients again!
