What an awesome day we had with Melissa and Dave! Though it was hot – super hot – they were troopers and slugged it out through the Cecil Green grounds, Spanish Banks, and the UBC Rose Garden all for the perfect photo. Their ceremony and reception took place at Cecil Green Park House, a beautiful old mansion originally built way back in 1912. For the ceremony, Dave had written a song for Melissa and sang it while playing his guitar as she walked down the aisle – seriously, there wasn’t a dry eye anywhere! It was an incredibly touching moment and gave everyone a real sense of how much these two are truly in love. After the ceremomy, officiated by the wonderful Ray Soden, we started the photo session with the bridal party around Cecil Green. The bridesmaids really rocked it – Melissa gave them a colour and they picked their own dresses and accessories, and so each outfit really represented the wearer – I love that! After some photos with the bridal party, we went off with Melissa and Dave in their own vintage car (rented especially for them on their big day) to Spanish Banks and then onwards to the UBC Rose Garden for some more photo time – I think we came up with some really creative and romantic shots! We had a great time photographing Melissa and Dave, and we wish them all the best!
