Jen and Rob’s Burnaby Wedding – September 5, 2009

So often a wedding is not just the unification of two people, but also of two cultures – in this case, Jen’s Italian heritage and Rob’s Scottish heritage.  In addition to the colourful kilts worn by Rob and his groomsmen, there were also jokes about making “haggis bolognese”, a beautiful Catholic ceremony, and even the traditional Scottish gift of a horseshoe to the newly wedded couple.  The photo session took place on Burnaby Mountain, with the constant threat of rain always in the background – fortunately, the rain didn’t start until we literally set foot inside the reception at the Diamond Alumni Centre – good timing!  The reception itself was beautifully decorated in red and black, complimented by a mouth-watering buffet and a wedding “cake” made of mini-tarts.  Thank you to Jen and Rob for having us with you on your special day – we enjoyed every minute!
