Vancouver Baby Portraits – Olivia

I love following my clients through their various life stages, so I was thrilled when past wedding couple Heidi and David asked me to photograph their beautiful little girl! Olivia was an adorable little model, with her many expressions and big eyes. Although there were some “accidents” during her naked shots, she still managed to keep her happy and sweet demeanor throughout her first photo shoot. Thanks to David and Heidi for having me photograph lovely Olivia – looking forward to following you with my camera as your family grows!

Vancouver Baby Portraits – Dhanya

I love it when past clients come back, so I was excited when past wedding clients Sharon and Andrew contacted me to photograph their beautiful baby girl, Dhanya. I headed out to Sharon and Andrew’s gorgeous home to photograph their little girl, where Andrew presented a very unusual prop – a giant clam shell from the South Pacific! He wanted to have Dhanya photographed in it, which I thought was a great idea – only one problem – the shell had been out on the patio and was freezing from the winter weather. Andrew soon had dueling hairdryers going on the shell and in no time it was warmed up to create the perfect baby bed. Thanks so much to Sharon and Andrew for having me photograph your adorable little Dhanya!

Daniel and Alexander – Baby Twins Portrait Session

Daniel and Alexander were born to a very special couple, Stephanie and Michael, for whom I had the honour of photographing their beautiful wedding. I was so excited to hear they were expecting, and even more excited when they asked me to take photos of not just one baby, but two – twins, how awesome! Knowing that Stephanie and Michael are two of the biggest Canucks fans out there, it was no surprise when they named the boys after two of their favourite hockey players! Photographing two babies instead of the usual one I’m used to presented some challenges, and also some wonderful creative possibilities – and of course, a lot of fun! Enjoy!

Henry’s Vancouver Baby Photo Session

When I got the email from Janet and Karsten asking me to photograph their soon-to-be baby boy, I was super-excited for two reasons – to meet their new addition, and to see them again after photographing their beautiful 2009 wedding. Janet and Karsten are a sweet couple, and it turns out that little Henry was just like his parents! He co-operated with all our photo ideas and was a real trooper through multiple outfit changes, sleeping in a wooden bowl, and even being posed with the family dog! Thanks to Janet and Karsten for having me over to do a baby photo session with Henry – he’s a really lovely little man!

Micah’s Vancouver Baby Photo Session

Little Micah made his big debut into the world just a few short weeks ago, so it was the perfect time to document this stage of his life with a baby photo session. Newborns are so fun to shoot, because they are relatively immobile and you can basically mold them into the perfect pose! Micah was an excellent model in this respect, and Mom Tara, Dad Joey, and big sister Amara joined in for some of the photos. Tara is the makeup artist extraordinaire that works with me at all my Boudoir Marathons, and it was wonderful to photograph her beautiful family!

Kadyn’s Baby Session

Little Kadyn made his big entrance into the world back in October, and I was delighted to photograph him within his first few months of life. Mom Reina also had me do her maternity photos, back when Kadyn was still a bun in the oven. Now that he’s out and about, Dad Andrew and big sister Kaya are enjoying the new family addition too. Kadyn was such a joy to photograph – he had so many different expressions for a little guy his age, and what was especially cute was capturing him in a traditional baby past time – sucking his thumb! Baby Rachel – Newborn Photo Session

Sweet little Rachel was only a month old when I got to photograph her, and she was amazingly alert! She obviously knew something was going on, and didn’t want to miss out on the action, because she stayed wide awake through almost the entire session. We were honoured to photograph the wedding of her proud parents last year, and we were so excited to hear that they were expecting – and now her she is! Check out that beautiful head of hair too!

Baby Jayla – Newborn Photo Session

Jayla was the perfect little sweetie for our photo session! At just over a month old, she was curious and interested in everything going on around her. Proud parents Jill and Jordan clearly adore their beautiful little Jayla, and who wouldn’t?! Just look at those big blue eyes and cute cheeks! It’s really neat to photograph a brand new human being – it makes you think about how much they have ahead of them and where their life-experiences will take them. And they grow so fast! At this age, each day they look a little different – fascinating, isn’t it? Thanks to Jill and Jordan for having me capture your lovely little baby!

Ethan’s Vancouver Baby Portraits

We were honoured to capture Nooneh and Chris’s wedding a couple years back, and I was just as excited when they asked me to come out and do a baby portrait session! Little Ethan is such a cutie-pie, he has the sweetest little expressions and the cutest little outfits (he must get his great fashion sense from his beautiful mommy). I love baby sessions not only because babies are fun, but also because there are so many great details to record – all the adorable decorations in the nursery, the baby’s favourite toy, their little shoes – all those details compliment the portraits themselves, especially when put into an album. Ethan is a really special and sweet little guy, and I can’t wait to photograph him again and see how much he’s changed! Thanks again to Nooneh, Chris, and Ethan for a very fun session!
