Rebecca’s Maternity Photo Session

I was so excited to do Rebecca’s maternity session – not just because I love maternity sessions, but also because Rebecca and husband Kairns are past clients! We had the honour of shooting their wedding back in 2007, and it was so neat to document this next big milestone in their lives. For this session, I had the opportunity to shoot both at Rebecca and Kairns’ home, and just outside their place near the river. Inside, Rebecca has decorated their home beautifully – she truly has a flair for design and it made my job easy! Outside, we had luscious evening light, the kind photographers dream about – that golden, warm light complimented Rebecca’s “glow” perfectly! I’m happy to say that Rebecca and Kairns are now the proud parents of a wonderful baby girl – congrats!

Lily’s Maternity Photo Session

Lily is expecting her second little girl in April, and decided to mark the event with a maternity photo session. I really enjoyed working with Lily and her beautiful family. It’s always neat to see the anticipation in the faces of the parents, but adding soon-to-be big sister Elissa made it extra special. I love that sense of wonderment that surrounds a maternity session – what will the baby look like, what day will it be born? So much excitement! Thanks to Lily and congrats on the upcoming new addition to your family!

Jian’s Vancouver Maternity Portraits

Jian and Scott are expecting their first child in February, and I was so excited to document this special time for them! The session was shot in the comfort of their home – I personally enjoy shooting in a home environment because it lends itself well to the warmth and feeling evoked in maternity session images. Makeup artist Tara Lasko was also on hand to enhance Jian’s already glowing look. Jian and Scott are such a sweet couple, and I can’t wait to see their new little baby!
