Swan-e-Set Bay Resort – This beautiful venue in Pitt Meadows is more than just a golf course – take one look at the amazing “club house” and you will be awed by the huge windows, massive scrolling staircase, and ornate chandeliers. Not to mention the view – the main ballroom has two-storey windows which look onto the immaculate golf course, mountains, and forests. Swan-e-set is also a great venue for large receptions – it can easily accomodate several hundred people, still maintaining room for a dance floor, bar, and general mingling areas. There are also some fabulous spots for photos, such as the winding driveway entrance, the pillars and patio out back, and fields and rural areas nearby.

SFU Diamond Alumni Centre – This very unique venue sits high atop Burnaby Mountain, right next to the SFU campus (which also happens to be an excellent photo location, both for sunny and rainy days). The Centre is perched on the side of the mountain, and the expansive deck has a magnificent view of the mountains and valley – the perfect spot for your guests to enjoy a cocktail or two! The Centre is very Westcoast in design, with large windows and huge wood beams making up the interior. And the food – well, it’s tasty and delicious, as well as different; yes, there are the usual array of salads, roast veggies, and meats, but each one had a flavourful little twist. Mmmm… still thinking about those yummy parmesan scalloped potatoes….
